Definitely a more favorable schedule than last year, but by default of playing against the NFC West we kind of knew that. I to love where our bye is this year instead of what became our bye last year. I think the first and most of the last third of the schedule is pretty favorable. The NE game could go either way and is what makes it not completely favorable, but overall Im happy.
I wish there was at least another prime time game in there but happy we at least got one. I would have liked it to be against Indy or even Jax again as it would have been more exciting to watch. I doubt the Tenn game will provide any pre or post buzz. At least with Jax last year, there was a good response to after the game saying it was entertaining. I think with Tenn their stout defense makes them boring to watch, especially without the VY factor. No reflection on their talent of the team, just not that entertaining to watch. Saw that the "non-white and red picnic bench cover" Texas team is getting 6 prime time games. Sucks, but they definitely have more of a national fan base. Also, doesn't one of the networks have the option to move games to the Sunday night time slot at some point in the season, or are those set in stone already? Last note, I remember hearing that we would be playing Oakland (and maybe Miami?) again this year when the season ended due to some sort of system with what our records were. I have no idea of what system that is or how accurate the source is, but I did hear it on the AM radio. *Edit- I just discovered that the Monday night game is in Houston...that makes it even better!!! |

I'll tell you right now that I will be the primary cause for at least 3 Titan false starts that night.

Hard not to like that schedule...
Barring injuries we have no excuse not to be in the playoff hunt...even for the division crown...right up to the end. 11 wins should be considered a bare minimum...12-13 is a very reasonable aspiration anything less than 10 and I fear we'll be starting over again...the downside to expectation |

I love this schedule.
They open with three of four at home, which should help them avoid what they went through on the field to start last year (hurricanes be damned). I think how they survive that stretch Week 5 to the bye week (@ARI, @CIN, vs. SF, @BUF, @IND) could be telling. If they get to the bye with a 6-3 record, look out. Even 5-4 would be good imo. Because the bye comes at a terrific time, just before a key home game against the Titans, then, and here's the best part, they stay at home for the short week to face the Colts. Those two games could decide the season. No real cold weather games on the schedule (though honestly that really hasn't been much of a problem for the Texans in the past). Plus, that last game against the Patriots could mean the Pats have nothing to play for and might rest their starters... might be the best week of the season to face them. With all six division games though over by Week 13, the Texans need to take care of their business sooner than later... Schaub's health is probably the #1 key to the season followed by improvement from the defense. I like their odds right now though of winning 10 or more and making the postseason. |

Looking at this schedule, we NEED to go 10-6. I think 11-5 is possible, with losses to Tennessee, Arizona, Indy, Indy, and NE.

The schedule seems to set-up nice for our best season ever. I like the fact that we don't have a three game road trip like we did last year. Bye seems to be at a great time to freshen up the legs for the stretch drive.

Agree with most of the comments. Before the schedule came out, I wanted 2 things, a September schedule that gives us a chance to build some momentum and confidence and a good bye week. By all accounts, we got both. No complaints.
