The Texans signed Williams as an undrafted free agent in 2006 and released him in the final preseason cutdown that year. The Packers signed him to their practice squad that November and he's quietly developed into one of the better CBs in the NFL. Wish they could get a do-over on that one right about now.

Well alot of the things that happen in Green Bay and with the Jets starts with the pressure up front. I wish we could apply that kind of pressure. Mathews has turned into a beast..... Anyways, yea it wouldnt hurt to put a claim. Matter of fact I am hoping that they do........ Please Kubs! Bring Al Harris and his veteran knowledge.

Even if he's a step slow, Harris might be able to mentor these young corners a little which could make them better players going forward.

That does not seem to be an overriding concern with respect to the Texans' secondary.

It could be addition by subtracting one of our secondary. It's not like they are on the field anyway.

Saw this tweet from Schefter:

@Adam_Schefter: RT @smslatts: Any word if teams put a claim on Al Harris? ... Nobody did. Nobody wanted $2.5 million contract. Now free to sign anywhere.
