It's Week 12 and the 4-6 San Diego Chargers are coming to NRG stadium to take on the 6-4 Texans Sunday at noon. The Chargers are coming off their bye week and should be somewhat rested/healed up. QB Philip Rivers is having a another good year throwing for 2,886 yards at a 62.1% completion rate with 20 TDs and 11 INTs and a 92.0 rating although 7 of his INTs have occured in the last three games. RB Melvin Gordon (838 yards rushing, 346 receiving) takes care of just about all the running back duties and is on a pace for 400 touches. The Chargers recently acquired RB Ronnie Hillman for some relief. Rivers has a plethora of targets in the passing game: WR's Tyrel Williams, Travis Benjamin, Dontrelle Inman; TE's Hunter Henry, Anotonio Gates and the aforementioned Gordon coming out of the backfield. The San Diego defense ranks 21st allowing 361.9 yds/gm and 28th in pts/game allowing 27.8. The Texans should be able to move the ball and put up some points....
The Texans are coming off 27-20 loss to the Raiders on MNF and should be motivated to get back on a winning track.... -------------------------------------------------------------- TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon CST, Sunday, 11/27/2016 Announcers = Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon The line = San Diego by 2 to pickem ------------------------------------------------------------- Bye weeks are almost completed except for two teams - Cleveland and Tennessee. Oddly, their byes occur next week in Week 13. 12 in a row has gotta be tough...... -------------------------------------------------------------- Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area: CBS (late) = Carolina @ Oakland, Jim Nantz, Phil Simms FOX (late) = Seattle @ Tampa Bay, Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston ------------------------------------------------------------- Thanksgiving Early: Minnesota @ Detroit (CBS) Thanksgiving Late: Washington @ Dallas (FOX) Thanksgiving Night: Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis (NBC) ------------------------------------------------------------- Other prime time: SNF = Kansas City @ Denver (NBC) MNF = Green Bay @ Philadelphia (ESPN) Last edited by Arky; 11-23-2016 at 01:12 PM. |

So we are a dog at home vs the last place AFC West Chargers & we were basically the same vs the Jags ?
Sounds like the Texans have become the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL. |
