Default Every game is big... but

This is a huge week for this team. Last year 2-6 on the road, this year 0-3 so far. If we win, then we can start taking this team seriously, this is not an unwinnable game.

A win in Minnesota starts to establish some legitimacy to this team, we need to be able to beat good teams on the road. Another road loss IMO keeps us as pretenders. This would do serious good on the team psyche if we win. I think the team will then think they can achieve and get to the next level which they have been striving for.

I think we'll win. Wins on the road will be the next step to being a very good team, and winning the turnover battle consistently.

i don't think minnesota has the guns for a shootout which i'm prepared for seeing as how our defense couldn't stop a handicapped running back behind an o'line of grandmas, let alone adrian freaking peterson. their defense would really have to tighten the screws, get a bunch of sacks and turnovers for them to win. but the way this offense is clicking right now (and steadily getting better) i see them running over almost anyone. this game comes down (imo) to whether or not we can limit adrian peterson. stopping him is probably impossible for the texans but i think if we load up against the run and commit to it the whole game, or at least until they abandon it we'll have our shot. hell, the defense might even come up with a pick or a key 3rd down stop to help out. you know...like a defense should do...

Time of possesion will tell the tale. If Minn. can run the ball and keep it away from our offense, we will not win. If we can slow AP down enough, we will win the game.

Texans winning a game on the road, in a dome stadium with all of tht fan-noise ? A real long-shot ? But if they could somehow pull it off it might be a
real watershed in Texans football.

I agree that this game is huge. What's a little depressing is that arguably the biggest game in franchise history pits two 3-4 teams against each other. Somehow, this is not what I envisioned when I bought my season tickets way back before we even had a single player.

The biggest game in franchise history was the first one, 19-10 over the Cowboys. Too bad the momentum didn't hold. The second biggest game in franchise history was the Bush Bowl...we lost and we *still* didn't take Reggie.

Bob, that game is ancient history. Let's move on to bigger & better things. The Cowboys are.......well, just the Cowboys.
