Lot of us are old guys in here, might remember his grandfather, Patriots WR Darryl Stingley. The senior Stingley passed away in 2007 and was unfortunately best known for being paralyzed in 1978 during a preseason game hit from Jack Tatum.

If I had to guess, the selection of Stingley was an indication that the team was going to be unsuccessful moving up from #13 and took their guy with the best pick they had.

Lovie needs his CBs to make his defense work. The team previously signed Steven Nelson, so we will see a new secondary this fall. Some depth at the position, too, with Desmond King and Lonnie Johnson returning.
