This is good. Jernigan is not an anchor. Blacklock will be.

Colts just traded up behind us. Taking J. Taylor RB from Wisconsin. He's a bruiser.
I wonder what O'Brien thinks is J.J. Watt's draft value? |

Blacklock; Grade A-
Crazy first-step quickness. True penetrating DT. Some hand use but must improve there and in the strength department. Much-needed addition on the interior of the defensive line. (Chris Trapasso) |

Agreed, but I kinda wonder too if Blacklock is Watt's succession plan.
Regardless, I love this pick. I seem to remember back when I really loved Vince Wilfork in the draft that Bill Parcells had a saying about loving those big 300+lb guys with supreme athleticism that defies their size. You can find good interior D-linemen late in the draft and even as UDFAs, but I don't mind using a premium pick on one like this. A great DL really makes for a great defense; build it from the ball and out. |

Texans don't select until #90. It will be interesting if Zach Baun and Terrell Lewis are still there.

Josh Jones might be tempting at 90...he and Howard could take up the right side of the OL.
Nevermind...he didn't last as expected Last edited by bikerack; 04-24-2020 at 09:02 PM. |

Texans on the clock. No idea what they are looking for, hopefully a CB or a RB.

Pick is Florida edge rusher Jonathan Greenard.
Draft Scouting Report: Rating: 83 Strengths: Chiseled with NFL defensive end size High-end burst off the snap Fluidity to win to the inside Sustains speed around the edge Decent arsenal of pass-rushing moves Weaknesses: Spin move needs work Rare moments of low motor At times pass-rush moves seem predetermined Draft Grade: A Height: 6-3, Weight: 263 Greenard has a chiseled NFL body with first-round flashes. Bend, phenomenal hand work. Just inconsistent. Nice power and good motor. Texans needed a natural rusher. (Chris Trapasso) |
