Only preseason but omg this is atrocious.

I fear the road MNF opener at Superdome will be a buzzkill, too.

Lots of Clowney trade rumors swirling. Losing him along with Lamar Miller does not bode well for this season’s chances.

I can't see anyone trading for Clowney. He can't sign an extension with anyone. Who would trade for him to have him for 1 year at $15 million in salary? And if some team would do it, then they aren't paying anything significant and we're bailing on him for next to nothing.

Honestly, I missed the first half because of issues with my landlord (not over anything that's trouble - he is building a new house on the property and looked like he needed some help with these long pipes). Once I found out the halftime score, I decided "why bother"?

I checked the "highlights" on YouTube later and it seems our o-line went through a major regression from last week or the Cowboys have resurrected their "Doomsday Defense" from yesteryear. I'm sure David Carr would have flashbacks with this line play.

At least we know the Texans will be scanning the waiver wire next weekend for a new running back. Surely somebody's 4th or 5th running back is better than anyone we have in camp.

Well, there should be someone out there who can get 4.3 yds/carry (Miller's career avg). Might even be someone already here.

I'm not happy that Miller got injured but I am happy that there will be a shakeup in the RB group. I think a shakeup was overdue.... Less dependence on Miller and a little more of the looking-for-the-next-big-thing.... Duke Johnson should figure in for his pass catching and I think having a good long look at Howell, Higdon and Crockett could possibly turn something up.....but this is probably not how the Texans will proceed....

The first series was Watson holding the ball. None of the hits he took were blocking issues. That was a total of like 4 plays.

Then the team looked awful with Webb under center. The OL looked worse than awful and looked like they were punishing Webb out of spite.

Between those things a veteran starter had his leg (career?) ruined in a meaningless preseason game. After that happened it didn't look like anyone had any interest in being out there.
