I see Texans new QB and LB were on your board, so very good.
SI said this on remaining OL. Isaac Asiata, G, Utah: The O-line class wasn’t all that deep to begin with, and with 10 big bodies off the board already, teams probably can forget about finding any surefire 2017 starters. Except, perhaps, in the cases of Asiata, Dorian Johnson and Nico Siragusa, three guards with games that translate to the NFL. Asiata is mean and tough—he put up 33 reps on the bench press at the combine and can flat-out move defenders. I found this list of some guys available today day 3. Texans have 2 picks in 4th, 1 in 5rh and one in 7th . Looks like about 10 are on OL so we shall see what happens. Here's a list of the best prospects still available according to NFL.com's Gil Brandt. Dorian Johnson, OL, Pittsburgh Davon Godchaux, DT, LSU Tedric Thompson, S, Colorado Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma Desmond King, CB, Iowa Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson Josh Malone, WR, Tennessee Carl Lawson, DE, Auburn Brian Hill, RB, Wyoming Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee Isaac Asiata, OG, Utah Zach Banner, OT, USC Jeremy Sprinkle, TE, Arkansas Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A&M Vince Biegel, LB, Wisconsin Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa Julie'n Davenport, OT, Bucknell Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh David Sharpe, OT, Florida Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida George Kittle, TE, Iowa Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Texas A&M Ishmael Zamora, WR, Baylor Bucky Hodges, TE, Virginia Tech Chad Hansen, WR, Cal Nico Siragusa, OL, San Diego State Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami KD Cannon, WR, Baylor Jake Butt, TE, Michigan Danny Isidora, OG, Miami Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson Anthony Walker, LB, Northwestern Donnel Pumphrey, RB, San Diego St. Howard Wilson, CB, Houston Jehu Chesson, WR, Michigan Jessamen Dunker, OG, Tennessee St. Fadol Brown, DE, Ole Miss Collin Buchanan, OT, Miami (Ohio) Avery Gennesy, OT, Texas A&M Shelton Gibson, WR, West Virginia Jeremy McNichols, RB, Boise St. Mack Hollins, WR, North Carolina Tarik Cohen, RB-KR, North Carolina A&T Jalen Myrick, CB, Minnesota Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State Brandon Barnes, TE, Alabama St. Ben Gedeon, ILB, Michigan Last edited by Nconroe; 04-29-2017 at 07:31 AM. |

I like to play 'Armchair GM' - Going by my Draft Board this is who I would have drafted for the Texans and Colts when it was their turn to select:
TEXANS 12 - OLB Derek Barnett 57 - QB Davis Webb 89 - TE Bucky Hodges 130 - ILB Anthony Walker Jr 142 - CB Desmond King 169 - OG Danny Isidora 243 - OT Collin Buchanan COLTS 15 - OG Forrest Lamp 46 - S Obi Melifonwu 80 - OLB Derek Rivers 137 - TE Bucky Hodges 143 - ILB Anthony Walker Jr 144 - CB Desmond King 158 - RB Jeremy McNichols 161 - QB Nate Peterman It is obvious that I really like Hodges, Walker, and King and would have drafted them much higher than when they were actually selected. It will be interesting to see how they develop. If DeShaun Watson isn't planned on to be the starter, I don't understand why you trade up to get him. I select, in my opinion the best Pass Rusher in the draft @ #12 and let Davis Webb come to me at #57. The Colts Addressed the same issues just with different players. The difference in Lamp/Melifonwu/Rivers/King/McNichols > Banner/Hooker/Basham/Wilson/Mack in my opinion. I also would like to upgrade my backup QB. Last year I hoped to draft Dak Prescott, this year I settled for Peterman at #161.

I wanted to break down my top 28 and see where they landed. Compounded with watching some preseason action.
My Rank Selected 1. Soloman Thomas - 3rd by 49ers. Still believe the BPA 2. Derek Barnett - 14th by Eagles. My Colts were unable to select him. 3. Marshon Lattimore - 11th Saints. My favorite CB in the draft. 4. Forrest Lamp - 38th Chargers. Lasted to the 2nd round. SMH. Injured in preseason. 5. Garrett Bolles - 20th Broncos. Behind Lamp due to age concern. 6. Ryan Ramcyk - 32nd Saints. Only 1 year experience and a hip injury. 7. Cam Robinson - 34th Jaguars. 2nd Round. I obviously shifted OL up due to a lack of supply. Plus, my Colts still need a RT. I felt a huge drop-off after Cam. 8. TJ Watt - 30th Steelers. I should have probably ranked him 4th. Saw his liability in pass coverage as a weakness and not enough value on his pass-rush. 9. Marlon Humphery - 16th Ravens. A legitimate #1CB. If I had known I could get Dan Feeney at #71, I would have moved Humphery above the OL above. 10. OJ Howard - 19th Buccaneers. A match-up nightmare. "Baby-Gates"? 11. Christian McCaffery - 8th Panthers. Looks great, but I compared him to Sproles/Reggie Bush. 12. Haason Redick - 13th Cardinals. One of the few ILBs I coveted, but not when I could get McMillan at #54. 13. Kevin King - 33rd Packers. 2nd round steal. Potentially as good as Lattimore/Humphery but not with a top #16 pick. 14. Obi Melifonwu - 56th Raiders. 2nd round. Saw him in Mobile and really wanted to see if he could be the next Kam Chancellor. Injured in preseason. ![]() 15. Raekwon McMillan - 54th Dolphins 2nd round. Injured in preseason. Really want to see what he can do on the NFL level. My PROTOTYPE ILB. 16. Davis Webb - 87th Giants 3rd Round. Saw him in Mobile and had to have him. Didn't get the hype as the other underclassmen. Behind Eli Manning, wondering when he gets his chance. The Texans could have drafted him in the 3rd round without giving up any draft picks. 17. Mitch Trubisky - 2nd Bears. After watching the Pre-Season, this kid looks legit. Just didn't want to take the risk after one season in college. 18- Patrick Mahomes - 10th Chiefs. Does not look intimidated by NFL play. 19 - Deshaun Watson - 12th Texans. The flaw I see is his inability to complete the deep pass with touch. The passes with his receivers running away from him. Crossing routes look good. 20 - Dan Feeney - 71st Chargers 3rd Round. My favorite OL at Mobile. Would have loved to have him playing RG and Joe Haeg at RT this season in INDY. The Chargers got Lamp and Feeney. I have OL envy. 21 - Jordan Willis - 73rd Bengals 3rd Round. My favorite OLB prospect at Mobile. Feeney/Willis/Wormley were my 'targets' trying to figure out how to get all three. They all went within 4 picks of one another. ![]() 22. Chris Wormley - 74th Ravens 3rd Round. Ozzie Newsome got Wormley and Humphrey. 23. Zach Cunningham - 57th Texans 2nd Round. I had him behind Redick/McMillan because I didn't think he was as good against the run. But I thought he would be much better in coverage than what I have seen in the preseason. 24. Chidobe Awuzie - 60th Cowboys 2nd Round. Should be a solid #2CB. 25. TreDavious White - 27th Bills. He was drafted 2 slots out of where I ranked him. ![]() 26. Derek Rivers - 83rd Patriots 3rd Round. He is injured so I will have to wait and see what he develops into. Really wanted my Colts to draft him instead of Tarell Basham. 27. Tyus Bowser - 47th Ravens 2nd Round. Ozzie Newsome drafted this kid before Wormley. So, maybe I had him ranked too low. 28th Taylor Moton - 64th Panther 2nd Round. Again, I have an OL need and there just were not enough quality OL in this draft in my opinion.
