How the team and Clowney have interacted since he was drafted is strange, on all fronts. Just odd at times, Sunday's just the latest. Odd comes from poor management.
Charles James was just cut, essentially scapegoated. He has always been a special teams guy, every time he was pressed into performing as a DB was a disappointment. Still, covering Packer WRs in the snow for 10+ seconds because of zero pass rush is a tough task for anyone. That said, from the point where JJo left the game, the Packers seemed suddenly able to pass the ball downfield. |

It disgusts me that Charles James was scapegoated like that. Sure, he wasn't very good as a corner - he was OK as a special teamer - but he's your fifth CB FFS and he slips in the snow after following one of the better receivers in the league around for fifteen seconds and suddenly it's all his fault. Right.

Well, the Colts sure got better on Monday night. Hope they got that out of their systems. Is it fair that they got to play the Jets out of the AFC East while we had to play the Patriots?

Re James's dismissal - he would probably still be with the team had he not been out on the field @ GB clowning around bare chested in pregame "warmups". Hopefully that sock business of his is up and running and generating enough revenue to pay the rent. |

Fumbling the kickoff in New England, the slip in Green Bay - two major "contributions" in losses.... Kind of a Jacoby Jones on defense...And he really is too small, methinks... good special teamer, though or least better than what we are used to seeing from special teamers. In his place, the Texans picked up Al-Hajj Shabazz, a 6'2", 200lb CB. A longer type. I think I'm hearing he was a recent cut from the Steelers PS but I may be wrong on that... |
