After watching some LB Brian Peters highlights, and reading about how bad our TE situation currently, I think we should maybe give him some reps at TE. He looks like he has great hands, is very physical, and has good size at 6'4" 250.

Yeah, sounds like TE is a big question right now.
A few thoughts from Sunday, day 7 practice. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spor...mp-9128021.php Everyone toward cooler practice in San Fran http://www.click2houston.com/sports/...to-second-week Sunday observations http://m.houstontexans.com/s/30862/e...e-8def6d154b9a More small injury info http://www.scout.com/nfl/texans/stor...-seven-rundown Last edited by Nconroe; 08-07-2016 at 10:26 PM. |

So, where do the Texans get their talent? Besides using the draft, signing UDFA's, FA's and other means, currently, with the expanded roster, the leading schools are:
Michigan State (4): ILB Max Bullough, S Kurtis Drummond, DE Joel Heath, WR Keith Mumphery Oregon (4): CB Terrance Mitchell, T Matt Pierson, SAF Eddie Pleasant, OLB Tony Washington Jr. Arizona State (3): DB Robert Nelson, QB Brock Osweiler, WR Jaelen Strong Clemson (3): C Dalton Freeman, WR DeAndre Hopkins, DT D.J. Reader Miami (3): RB Lamar Miller, DT Vince Wilfork, DE Ufomba Kamalu South Carolina (3): DB Antonio Allen, LB Jadeveon Clowney, CB Johnathan Joseph Many schools with 2 representatives. Oddly, just six Texas schools on the expanded roster and two of those are from Texas-El Paso (FS Quentin Demps, TE Eric Tomlinson) Things have changed since the Colorado State pipeline days..... ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Video - Texans Training Camp Today: Sunday edition TRT 10:10 |

The Texans are having troubles at TE? You don't say! I seem to recall someone bringing that up around draft time and being told how it wasn't a priority.

Hopefully we are usually getting best player at our draft number, but does seem we target certain positions.
For TE, the UDFA Steve Anderson, seems to be a little undersized but catching well. Both Fido and Griffin seem to be healthy and working on pass catching, so we shall see. Seems RB and WR were the priority, so maybe that and new QB will help overall offense. First look this coming up Sunday. For Monday, camp day 8, some updates. This covers lots of nicks, health updates. http://m.chron.com/sports/texans/art...th-9129217.php News from in the bubble http://www.click2houston.com/sports/...mments-at-camp Some up/down opinions, still early, http://www.scout.com/nfl/texans/stor...ng-up-and-down More and varying opinions, http://m.houstontexans.com/s/30862/e...7-b770e3c716f8 We must have at least 70 exceptional good players in camp per all the reviews. http://www.scout.com/nfl/texans/stor...-eight-rundown Sirius-xm channel 88 radio at Texans camp from 12-3 tomorrow, might be 11-2 http://www.siriusxm.com/siriusxmnflr...le?desktop=yes Last edited by Nconroe; 08-08-2016 at 10:29 PM. |

Would have liked to be a fly on the wall when Randy Moss spoke to the team..... Had Hard Knocks been here, they surely would've covered it.... |
