Well, I'm happy to see the first 3 picks go to the offense though it didn't exactly shake out like I was expecting. I suppose the defense will get a turn or two with the next 3 picks. If they go back to the offense, I'd like to see them go for a guard or tackle.... been some speculation that the TE position has been downgraded and will be used mainly for blocking in the future, i.e. more slot looks, more 4 wides..............

Don't forget the UDFA's that will follow the draft... Might find a gem or two there...

So, currently Texans picking once in the 4th, twice in the 5th and none in the 6th and 7th rounds...

Been in Pasadena, CA busy as hell for work and haven't been able to watch any of the draft live or listen to HTown radio. Sucks because this is one my favorite weekends of the year. What did the Texans give up to move up in RD1 for Fuller?

Not a huge fan of Fuller's, but I get the speed factor and how he can stretch the D. I like the Martin pick a lot. I like the Miller pick, but I'm not sure there was a need to move up for him. I guess if you want your guy, though... I see him as a slot, PR/KR, 3rd-down RB, and of course, wildcat and emergency QB. He's a good value pick.

Today is BPA day, IMO. Don't care what position it is, other than maybe QB, RB and WR.

And let me just say, the CA version of Pasadena is a hell of a lot nicer than the TX version.

I'm good with BPA, excepting WR. Not desperate for any position. Let some young guys on team develop hopefully.

I too seem to be very busy at work this year and least time in 10 years to look at mock drafts. Mostly thanks to Roy for his analysis.

Connor Cook goes to the Raiders to back up Derek Carr. The Cowboys get one of my Favorite Pass-Rushers, Charles Tapper from the Combine. Hoped that My Colts would get him. Joshua Perry was a guy I thought might be able to eventually replace Cushing. With Vigil, Schobert, and Perry off the board; I am hopeful that Blake Martinez might be a pick.

I'm sitting here looking at one of my favorite OL Christian Westerman on the board. I Preferred him over Nick Martin. However, Kenneth Dixon is still there too and I would have a very hard time passing on him since I gave him my highest 2nd round grade. Here is the measurable comparisons:
Christian Westerman Az St 6' 3 1/8" 298 3 1.79 5.17 7.69 4.71 25" 8'2" 34 11 7/8" 33 1/2"
Nick Martin Notre Dame 6' 4 1/8" 299 3 1.80 5.22 7.57 4.72 28" 8'1" 28 9 3/4" 32 1/2"

Westerman had 34 Bench Press Reps vs. Martin's 28. Westerman has 11 7/8" hands vs 9 3/4". Westerman has 33 1/2" arms vs. 32 1/2" Otherwise, they are essentially the same player, physically.

Tyler Higbee just got arrested last month so I dropped him down my board. Surprised to see him go here with Jerrel Adams still on the board. Very interesting. And there goes Miles Killebrew

The Patriots just got one of my favorite WRs in the draft. It wouldn't surprise me if he is more productive than Will Fuller.

The Colts pass on the RB, but I am very pleased that Ridgeway is the selection!!!! The Colts now have a NT
Hassan Ridgeway Texas 6' 3 3/8" 303lbs 1.72 5.02 7.33 4.69 32" 9' 5" 24 9 3/8" 33"

The Texans pick is coming up....I really like Kenneth Dixon, even with Lamar Miller on the squad. Westerman seems redundant with Nick Martin here. Dak Prescott is probably not the selection, though I would be all in. The TE Jerell Adams or even OG Connor McGovern would make sense.

I've seen Higbee described as "an idiot" in scouting reports in reference to his off-the-field problems. Jeff Fisher doesn't seem to mind rolling the dice on that stuff.
