Treadwell ran a 4.65 - 40 unofficially at his Pro-Day. So, now Doctson is the only WR I would think about taking in the1st round. Otherwise I can get value with Sheperd, Malcolm Mitchell, Kenny Lawler, of Keyarris Garrett.

Now if I could just figure out how to make some trades and be able to come away with a draft class that looks like :

C Ryan Kelly
G Joshua Garnett
TE Nick Vannett
DE Matt Ioannidis
WR Keyarris Garrett
DT Javon Hargrave
QB Kevin Hogan
WR Malcolm Mitchell
RB CJ Prosise

This last list is more interesting to me and probably more useful than your traditional My Guys list, which of course I always enjoy and appreciate.

The idea behind My Guys was that I would come up with a small list of guys who could provide value and fill needs for the Texans roster compiled of players who I believe would translate to the NFL and be core players fitting our system. Then what happens is I get questioned why I don't have such a player on my list and what about this other guy. This year players like Ezekiel Elliott, Dereck Henry, Paxton Lynch, Corey Coleman, Will Fuller; to name a few were brought to my attention for being omissions. So, I figure out where I might place them into my board if they were to fall. I also have a philosophy much like Drew Boylhart of TheHuddleReport.com - where I evaluate the talent. Then consider the media, hype, mock drafts, politics, and external factors that may differentiate between the Talent Board and the Value Board. In this class I am not ecstatic about the Tight Ends, but I believe that this roster needs to upgrade. So the TE position is probably overvalued. Henry isn't a all-around TE, but his ability to catch the ball gives him value. Nick Vannett is probably the most complete, but I am not sold on the pass catching skills. Ryan Kelly iz one of my favorite players who I see going in the 2nd round in many mock drafts. Darron Lee is my prototype of what I want from the ILB position instead of Cushing. I'm not sure that the Texans would buy into my thought process. Conklin is the best OT who I project might be available for the Texans at #22. He could be insurance for Duane Brown and start at RT. Other OT prospects like Ifedi or Spriggs will experience growing pains. I would prefer a player who contributed right now like Doctson or Shepard.

I'm hoping we get Ryan Allen also but 22 is probably too high for him so I am trying to trade down and still take him at the bottom of the 1st or early 2nd. However, if I see a good LT or edge rusher or Reggie Ragland falling to 22, I might pull the trigger on that person and grab a center later if Allen is not there.

I usually see Allen on the boards somewhere between 25 and 50.
