CBS list again. Lots of trade down and a future 2nd given away. To many picks to be functional.

So way to many trade downs. What becomes obvious is that DT s are strong early, WR are strong in the middle, and the LBs coming out of the college ranks are not geared to the NFL game (danged spread offenses).

Bleacher Report: Some new names and new priorities at the top. If you take a Conklin, he can play LT or RT, OTs then can be Brown, Conklin. Newton can move to OG with Allen, and Su'a-Filo move to OC. It's a thought. If Brown is not ready at the start of the season they have coverage.

I was disappointed I couldn't trade down in the first round but I took one offer in the second for two thirds. This is the Fanspeak 3/15 board.

By all appearances, Hackenberg will be lucky to be drafted. Considering that and the fact we signed Osweiler, I wouldn't burn a pick on Hack until very late in the draft, if at all. In fact, I think the worst thing we could do is draft a QB (certainly one fairly early) this year and have all the fickle fans calling for him at the slightest hint of a struggle from Osweiler. Might be better off going with Savage, a vet or a late RD QB for this year and let Os have his day without rookie QB crap hanging over his shoulder.

I cannot say how many mocks I have done where a solid QB is available and I have walked right past him to a position of higher need. If you want to a flyer on a QB late in the draft, a fifth or later, then I am good with that. I love Adams from Oregon as a UDFA, to give you a camp arm. The biggest issue I see is reps. The team is going to want to get OS as many reps as possible in OTAs and camp, and they want to hold on to Hoyer to possibly trade to a team that gets hit with an injury for some kind of value. And you have to get him reps, along with Savage. He needs reps. So how can you develop a young guy with no reps. Also I would not be surprised if they keep Hoyer as a veteran backup. It would give Os another QB to talk to on the sideline and in the room.
