I'm thinking that a team might be willing to trade for Lawson or Calhoun....perhaps a RB or OT too.

A case could be made that we need an OT and/or RB, not as much as we need more picks in the first 4 rounds, preferably in the top 3 rounds.

And now that they are talking about keeping Foster.

I agree that we need a RB and OT. But if we could pick up extra picks by trading down, those picks could potentially be parlayed into Kenneth Dixon and Kyle Murphy and I would still be able to select Dak Prescott. If I am getting my guy to develop, I want the luxury of surrounding him with support instead of forfeiting picks to trade up for a Paxton Lynch. I considered what the Redskins gave up for RGIII.

We won't cut Foster because of his salary...we will cut him because of his inability to stay healthy. It's not a lie by Rick Smith, it's semantics. The GM wants to have a"poker face" considering the owner has told the world that we are getting a QB.

I haven't seen the TEs yet, but my initial reaction to the QB and WR position is meh....The Guys who ran were slower than I expected. Too many 4.5s and Will Fuller caught the ball today in drills after posting a 4.32....so he is going on my board. None of my guys jumped as high as Paxton Lynch (36"). Treadwell could not break the 10' threshold for the broad jump.

Paxton Lynch's footwork was exposed to be a project that will take time to refine. He has a gun like Mallett, but I would be concerned about the short to intermediate passes. My guy Dak Prescott was only 226lbs and ran slower than Carson Wentz. I figured he would be around a 4.62. But, I still like the balls he threw and felt somewhat validated by Kurt Warner who witnessed the same 'touch' on his throws.

Besides Fuller, I am adding: Marquez North, Charone Peake, Jordan Payton, Cody Core,Trevor Davis, and Kolby Listenbee to my board. Burbridge, Sterling Shepard, Braxton Miller, Tyler Boyd, Josh Doctson, and Michael Thomas all disappointed me a little bit today.

*edit* Just learned that Sterling Shepard had an Official time of 4.48 (which is better than the 4.5 unofficial time) along with a 41" Vertical and the 10'3" Broad Jump. So, I am good with those measurables. I just wish his arms were longer than 30 3/8".

This is a defensive draft, and we need offense, cause our owner has said it. I have know for some time that WR class was week.

Also I am really pi$$ed off that more guys did not run today.

Hunter Henry only did 13 reps on the bench and had the audacity to not run a 40? At least Vannett had a respectable 17. Hooper got 19 and ran a 4.72. Not anything Outstanding, but at least he wasn't afraid to compete. I like the thought that Vannett has 34" arms and 10" hands. Looking forward to seeing what the other measurables are.

If we don't draft a NT and DE, we are "reaching" - that being said, I'm looking for the next Donte Moncrief. Cody Core would look good in a Texans uniform.
