They all look tough to me. I believe the odds makers have the early team over/under at 8.5 which seems way too high to me (and I think most Houstonians), though nationally, it seems there's this perception that Texans 2013 was a blip that will be corrected....

Until we understand the 2014 QB situation better, I agree with this. Need better QB play to win.

The Redskins went through their own upheaval. I suspect the oddsmaker see Washington presently as 1.5 pts better minus the normal three points home field advantage.

Apparently Texans have a chance to bounce back due to road schedule theory.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10...-browns-texans "The Texans are another team with a chance to bounce back. They are more talented than their 2-14 record. They face a nondivision road schedule of teams that went a combined 31-49. They brought in Ryan Fitzpatrick -- like McCown, a backup type -- to buy time as they consider drafting a quarterback." |

Let's hope. I just remembered the Texans are on a 14 game losing streak which (I think) is a team record. The sooner they can close the book on that little achievement, the better...
