Default Montgomery moved to DE

Putting his hand back on the ground: http://houston.cbslocal.com/2013/09/...hes-positions/

I hope nobody bought a #57 Montgomery jersey because he'll be wearing #95 from here on out.

i said in the week following the draft that he looked like a 3-4 DE not an OLB. Wasted pick for a OLB, but he could become a guy similar to the ninja. But he is going to have develop a work ethic.

Seems like a wasted pick to me. I wonder if they moved him to the practice squad if anyone would claim him based on his draft position or if he'd sail right through. IMO, the PS is where he needs to be.

A 43 team would claim him. It looks like a wasted pick for us unless we can make him purely a hand on the ground 3rd down guy.

Rick Smith has too much pride to give up on Montgomery this early. I'm still not sure he's really given up on Amobi Okoye.

Way to early to know how a third round guy might develop over next year or two. He might be good in DE rotation and ST.
