Scheme factors into it as well, especially on defense where the Cowboys are transitioning to Monte Kiffin's 4-3/Tampa 2.
The Cowboys' board bears that out, with only 18 1st rounders, 22 2nds, 28 3rds, 21 4ths, 28 5ths, 8 6ths, and 7 7ths. Still, it doesn't look like the Texans and Cowboys staffs saw eye-to-eye on the Texans' picks. |

I guess every team had a different board and in 2-3 years we will see who did best. But interesting to see how they laid out their board.

On the other side of the ball it showed Jerry still doesn't get it when it comes to how to build a team. He needs to build an OL, and few teams had their first pick as a 2nd rounder much less the 32nd best player.

They also had Quessenberry listed as a guard and not tackle which I like as it speaks to the perception many share that he's a versatile Olineman.
And I find it reassuring that they had a lot of the Texans Draft picks on their Board as they've left tons of players completely off the Board for various reasons. As far as guys like Hopkins and Swearington being drafted by us earlier than the Dallas Board had them rated, their own first-round pick was rated a second-rounder on their own Board. |

Definitely count me among those who miss Buchsbaum. Btw, do not take my comments on this thread as criticism of the Texans... |

With Newt out & third round pick B. Williams also injured and not expected back until maybe the last week of OTAs, everything I'm hearing indicates Quess and Harris are sharing all snaps at RT. |

I can see him as the future OLG, but we will have to see what they do with him, he certainly could help the game day roster if he makes it to swing tackle level.
