From the Chronic:
Punter Shane Lechler to visit Thursday The team was interested in Lechler, who went to Texas A&M, the last time his contract expired but the Raiders gave him $4 million a year. He was drafted in the fifth round in 2000 and has played his entire career in Oakland. Lechler has made seven Pro Bowls, the last coming in 2011. Donnie Jones set team records for gross and net yards in his only season with the Texans. He’s a free agent.

I expect Lechler to sign with Texans if he checks out physically. They wanted him last time his contract was up.

Kinda shocked by the money we spent on Shane, how much better was he then Jones this last season? I'm not complaining about getting a stud punter, just shocked that they appear to be going for a long toothed one. The good news Shane wants to play until he's 40 years old, so he should have some time here.
Now can he stay healthy. That seems to be a common theme this off season.
