Default The List

Was just musing over the Texans have had a number of "firsts" this year....

1. 5-0 start and then going to 11-1.

2. First "W" over the NY Jets.

3. First "W" over Baltimore.

4. Prime time win on the road (NY Jets).

5. Sitting atop the power rankings for a number of weeks.

6. First time in the Thanksgiving game and first "W" in that game.

7. First time back to back OT wins (or the very rare: having a QB that threw an INT in OT and still won the game).

Still left to do:

1. Sweep the division - 4 down, 2 to go.

2. Beat Minnesota for the first time.

3. Beat the Colts in their house.

Anybody got any others?

I think you could remove the fails now, just list the actual first accomplishments and upcoming firsts. or create a category for next year.
up to you, your list.

Another first - or maybe this is a team firsts, rather than player firsts list?
8. Arian Foster first RB to gain over 100 yards in each of first three playoff games.

I was thinking more in terms of "team/franchise firsts in 2012" but yeah, the list could use some re-organizing.... Let's try this:

-------------------------------------------------------

Team firsts accomplished in 2012:

1. 5-0 start and then going to 11-1.

8. 12 regular season wins, new team high.

Team firsts that had an opportunity to accomplish but failed:

1. Beat Minnesota for the first time (lost).

2. Sweep the division (5-1).

3. Beat the Colts in their house (lost).

4. Get the #1 seed for the 1st time in Houston pro footbal history. (nope)

Still left to do:

1. Win more than one playoff game in a season

2. Win a playoff game on the road.
