Paul K @ http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth
Shows a link to a Clayton article showing $12.9 in cap room for us next year. Also states: "Houston’s in better shape than I would have guessed, but has three significant guys with expiring contracts: Fullback James Casey, safety Glover Quin and outside linebacker Connor Barwin." IMO - Casey is a goner. Bad spot for him, and should get paid well elsewhere as a potential #1 TE. Barwin - I wouldn't break the bank for him. Just goes MIA too often. Quin - Hot/cold year, but I think Wade likes him back there. Not to mention, you always have a surprise cut, or three, that might open up some additional space. BTW - Indy has $46MM in cap space nexy year........

Re-signing Quin is clearly the priority. Thankfully he plays a relatively less expensive position.
As a TE, maybe the Texans look to put more effort into re-signing Casey. They let Dreesen walk, and it was a problem when Garrett Graham went down with the concussion. Find another FA for fullback, but 3 decent pass catching TEs are necessary for the offense. Yeah, Barwin either signs a hometown discount now or he is gone. As for the Colts, have to imagine they give Luck a new RB and WR at some point. Wayne is getting up there in years, and Ballard/Brown isn't the answer. |

My guess was we had about 19.5 mil in cap space from all FA, but I could be wrong.
