Personally, I'm quite happy to be "stuck" with Foster. Good spot to be in.

We lost a swing tackle. If things go well, Butler wouldn't have played. I don't see them trading guys that will contribute this season for someone who may, or may not play.

Because the ZBS requires a certain skill set, I would not be surprised if the Texans can find a decent replacement on the waiver wire for Butler and possibly an upgrade at RG and RT. They've already cut Studdard who could always come back in an emergency. The real question is what they do with Brooks and Jones if they are deemed "not ready" but too valuable to cut?

Incidentally, I thought the "2"s did a fine job in run blocking but looked average or worse in pass blocking last night.

IMO Jones is ready right now to step in if your starting LG, OC, or RG goes down. Jones is looking like a great fit for this offense. Did anyone notice that Meyers had left the game in NO? I did not notice, that is how good Jones looked.

Texans still have Andrew Gardner as experienced swing tackle on roster who they picked up last year when Butler was hurt.

Jones did look good at LG last night, which might offer another option with the OLine if Newt struggles: Wade Smith has tackle experience, so they could move him to RT and Jones into his slot at LG. It would be an option in a pinch.
