It's usually in mid-July.

Father's Day weekend is usually the time when I start to get a real itch for the next season. Quiet summer this year with no CBA issues.

This is the time of year I reach for some DVDs of great games of the past, particularly cold-weather games so I can "feel" January when it is friggin hot outside. The problem is most of my favorites I've watched so many times I can almost remember what happens before they snap the ball.

Got the playoff win over the Bagels. Maybe that would be a good one to watch.

I recorded the Saints game from last year when I was out of town and never got around to watching it because we lost. Anyway watched it yesterday for the first time - dang, talk about a game we should have won, what a batch of blown, wasted opportunities in the red zone. But we really played very well (well for most of the game), the offense was extremely impressive and I hope that that's the Andre we see this season, he was awesome.
Anyway, it definitely got me pumped for the upcoming season.

Anyone know when the tickets for fans to attend training camp usually become available?

The front-end skew of the date range of those open practices is disappointing because it's usually atleast a few days after the start of TC before they put the pads on meaning most of the tickets basically give the fans a chance to view the Texans doing calisthenics in their shorts and T-shirts.

They should have Vegan Day where every fan in attendance gets a celery stalk autographed by Arian Foster.
