Default Roster Moves

Could be WR #5:
@McClain_on_NFL: Texans agreed to terms with WR Bryant Johnson. He tried out after practice. Team is desperate to find 4th and 5th WRs.

Could be Kasey's replacement:
@McClain_on_NFL: Texans signed G Andrew Gardner to a 2-year deal. G Shelley Smith, who was going to be 8th OL, was put on IR with ankle injury.

Jabba also tweeted that they waived the Rookie Punter, Hartman, so looks like we will have a Maynard, at least for a bit.

Wow. I was thinking at least 1 or 2 rookie UDFA would make the team at WR. Jean to IR (PUP?) means he'll be back next year. I suppose one of Maehl, Tolliver or Townsel could still make the 53.....

The vet Bryant Johnson (gonna have to call him "BJ" ) seems to have a had a solid, yet mediocre career as a #3/#4. He'll need reps if he's gonna stick around...

My guess is that they have a pretty good idea who the final 53 are and it will take very strong outing in Thursday's game for them to make room for someone else....

Also, the final 53 is due to be announced by Saturday but the Texans usually do this on Friday so as to give the cuts a better chance to latch on with another team.....

I hoping Keo, Braman and Jamison make the 53. Carmichael, Friday, 1 or 2 of the UDFA WR's and to-be-determined OL to the PS. I believe the PS will be announced Sunday night...

I'm actually confidant that Jamison makes the 53, he's been real impressive this preseason. And Keo stands a good chance but primarily because he's a
5th rounder this year, IMO. No matter, he'll atleast be on the PS.
Now Braman is the interesting one because if they try to put him on the PS, he might not get thru waivers and yet as an UDFA rookie they might risk it since they could have higher priorities for their final 53 ? Carmichael probably will make the roster if he's not IRed, afterall he's a 4th rounder.

I'm not very sure Keo makes the team, even the PS.

He has looked good on ST, so he does have a shot.

Yep. I rewatched the 49'er game and he had a low-flying-torpedo tackle on one of the 49'er kickoff returns - kept the guy from reaching the 20. He had a nice punt return and there was another punt return where he probably could have done a better job of trying to field the ball before it bounced all the way inside the 5. But he's a rook and he'll learn....

Plus, I think Wade and Kubes both like him....

Also, not heard much out of Braman lately but he nearly blocked a punt about 4 minutes before halftime...
