I'm a big VY fan but even I would want no part of him as a backup quarterback. He clearly doesn't handle it well when he's not starting and, it's true, all the UT fans would demand he start over Schaub and that's not fair or good for Schaub.

The only way VY works in Houston is if you have a coach willing to design an offense for him and let him run the show. Let him go back to the scrambling Vince that was so successful at Texas. Kubiak's not going to do that.

Last night, I was playing in my mind what could be done with an offense that featured Young and Tim Tebow as dual quarterbacks in like a double wildcat offense where either could take the snap, run or pass or hand off to the other with the potential for roll-outs to either side since one is lefthanded and the other righthanded. Stick a halfback in there for pitch plays and some straight handoffs and you'd have something that could be sensational if you could find the right OC to design plays and get both players to buy into it.

You could probably do the same thing with Vick or a handful or others but what makes it especially appealing with these two is they are big enough to run half the time and still get through a game.
