I really wasn't talking about his age. I just think that there isn't a whole lot left for him to learn about his position. He's a veteran. And he is already a dominating player. He just needs to play enough to be in shape and know the new offense.
Seeing that Schaub can be replaced by Rosenfels if he goes down, Johnson is our key offensive player. I'll be surprised if he sees a whole lot of action in the preseason. Besides, it will give us more plays to decide on who our 5th receiver is. I think Anderson is definately on the bubble. |

Kind of a nice problem we have, just sitting around trying to figure out who will be our FIFTH receiver. Remember last year when we were trying to figure out who would be the #2. My, how times have changed.

It's a Catch 22. If you don't let him play, he doesn't get in condition to play. If you do let him play, there's more chance of an injury.

Listening to AJ's interviews after the practice made me fell better. No pop or tear sounds. It tightened up and he stopped running. AJ said these things happen during TC. I am sure Kubiak will be smart with him. No need to push him, give him a few days of rest.
