Kubiak: "We have to get more balanced on offense..."
No, you certainly do not, you pathetic moron. You can obviously throw the ball to move the ball. What you have to do is score six when you're in the red zone. The good news is that you get to the red zone in a hurry. The bad news is that you have no mother%$^&ing idea what to do once you get there. I guess the further bad new is that you don't seem to understand any of the above. Throw the ball to get downfield. In the red zone spread the field and run the ball. I'd love $700,000 a year for that, thank you. I'm not really sure why I bother. After the post-2010 lockout I will be done with the NFL forever. |

This is so simple, it's frustrating. This offense is getting all kinds of yardage through the air, so one might conclude that defenses would show Nickle & Dime packages to cover. Thus, leaving a plethora of running lanes on the field for a ZBS RB to choose from. Instead, we pack it in tight with 240lbs TE and maybe a FB to clog everything up and allow the defense to load up heavy against the run too. Unless the offense gets serious and brings in a 300+lbs OT to block in the running game as "TE eligible" then the "Jumbo" package should be scrapped in the RedZone.

OTOH, they were some clever calls. Anyone, recall the little throwback dump to Moats all alone (that he nearly dropped) for the TD (I think it was against the Colts)? And there was the not-so-clever - (see C Brown). Those Arian Foster runs in the 4th quarter of the Pats game is what a red zone running game is supposed to look like. Anyone remember Winston banging on the ground with his fist? I think he was saying, "That's what I'm talking about! That's how an OL moves the ball! Now, I remember!". ![]() |

It wasn't only in the red-zone. They'd bunch up pretty much every time they had short yardage. Any down, mid-field, red-zone, you name it. Very frustrating! The thing I found most laughable was that they'd pull AJ out on most of those plays.

They'd also bunch for no apparent reason in the middle of the field on 1st down.
It is like Mike Martz/Andy Reid/Jason Garrett "Offensive Genius" disease in reverse. |

Yes, that is a particularly nice touch if you're trying to convince the world that you are a phosphorescent cretin. Take one of the three or four best offensive players in the league out of the game so the defense doesn't have to account for him. Outstanding thinking.
