The second half was a disaster and it is unacceptable. Im pretty sure Peyton Manning will spend alot of time studying our secondary's second half performance. I can see him salivating as he watches.

Well, we don't play Peyton next week, we play Buffalo. Any win is acceptable. The way we played in the second half is what is questionable. Too conservative. Where SF was blitzing like crazy we were still rushing our 4 man front, sometimes only 3, trying to play prevent on Alex Smith. I am glad we played SF now, and not later when Crabtree really gets his feet on the ground. That young man is going to be something to see.

Yeah, trying to prevent the big play by keeping LBs in coverage. Our Secondary needed the extra bodies. It's nice to get sacks and pressure, but if you don't, you get killed.

Did anyone notice the deep pass to OD for the 42 yard TD was out of that same formation? I love it when lil' Shanahan listens to me.

Hmm....I guess we really couldn't. Luckily we were able to get an Interception.

Went to the game yesterday and here's my question: why can't McNair/Texans cough up a few more bucks and get some off-duty cops to
direct the traffic at places like the 610 South Loop feeder/Fannin intersection ?
But because we ultimatly won Sunday afternoon it was a great experience including the salute to the military with the pregame chopper-jump (Airborne !), the Marine Corps precision marching group at halftime, and both Bushs there for the presentation to Bush 41 on the new aircraft carrier named for him.
What do we take away from the game that almost got away from us in the second half ? I like what Tillman said on channel 13 post game show last night - we take a "W" away from the game.

It wasn't pretty, but it sure beats the alternative. We can build on this if the coach's use it the right way.
