I think your light on DL. The Saints made it obvious that we are still weak against the run at DT. They will likely throw numbers at the problem in an effort to keep guys fresh. Travis Johnson likely makes this team. He's obviously not as disliked by the Texans FO and coaches as he is by the fans...that doesn't mean they like him, just that they don't hate him as much as we do.
Buster Davis could make it a LB. Another DB could be a possibility to give a little more insurance while Dunta works out the kinks. Kubiak likely keeps a dedicated long snapper unless there's a position player he thinks he just has to find a way to put on to the team. It's somewhat annoying, but I think the danger of your LS getting hurt right before a crucial game winning kick will keep the dedicated long snapper on the roster. Otherwise you need to make sure that your getting 2 or three guys regular work at long snapping every week. I can see Jenkins or Martinez making the roster. In general, I would guess that the last few roster spots will go to defense if it's close...the whole throw enough bodies at the problem and hope one sticks thing.

And Travis and Harrison probably make the 53, too. I really like what Martinez has shown, but I think if push came to shove, that 6th WR might not make the final cut. |

By this team I meant San Diego
....I wasn't really buying the whole trade TJ thing. Proving once again to never listen to me. I would expect to see us bring in someone elses leftover. Depending on what San Diego ask him to do, TJ could be successful(relatively) there if the undiagnosed hernia was really a problem and he gets a little chip on his shoulder.

Now that T.J. is gone I expect the front office to trade for a DT or pick one up from the cut list as available to add to the defensive unit. This could be a starter, rotation player, back-up, or PS depending on quality.

I don't see carrying 6 WRs if you're going to carry 4 TEs. If needed, they can always put OD or Casey in the slot if they want to run a four-wide and have just three healthy receivers.

I saw Dale Murphy mention Sands might be cut from Oakland. I can't verify the veracity of that, but, if true, I think he'd be a fantastic add to our interior.

I agree, Sands would be a solid NT for us.

I think Zgoninna makes it. I think he has looked better this year than the past, plus he is familiar with everyone. Buster Davis has been fairly active in what I've seen. I think he makes it. I think Chaun Thompson hasn't shown enough to stick. Simmons has been very good on special teams. I think he makes it for that reason. I think I like Watkins better than what I've seen of Washburn. I like Jamison more than Nading. Don't know if he is PS or 53 man roster. Can't wait until tonight.

I think Jamison has a shot at the 53 man roster. But remember he has PS eligibility and Nading may not have any left.
