Props have to go to Charley Casserly and Dom Capers for this. I'm sure part of the reason we played 85% of our draft picks was because the cupboard was so bare after the 2-14 season plus our defense was full of 3-4 players while we converted to the 4-3 under the new regime.

IOW, while Smith/Kubiak deserve props for getting players who fit their system, the reason we are #1 as opposed to, say, the Patriots or the Colts is because we had so many jobs available while other teams didn't.

Well... maybe partially. But you still have draft the players. You could be the 49ers, Lions, or Raiders. I would think alot of their players could be replaced.... No?
