On The Clock wouldn't let me deal with the Panthers but I traded up with the Giants for #17 and a 4th for our 1st and 2nd. That left us with one pick in every round. I then went and made two trade-downs, one in the second and one in the 4th that netted two more 5th-rounders. The result:
17: R1P17 OT ANDRE DILLARD, WASHINGTON STATE Given he was #20 on the big board I had, I don't think he would have lasted to #23. 61: R2P29 G MICHAEL DEITER, WISCONSIN Versatile guard/tackle who should win a spot somewhere. 86: R3P22 CB ISAIAH JOHNSON, HOUSTON Our local kid, small and raw but with real upside. 118: R4P16 DL DAYLON MACK, TEXAS A&M Fireplug for the NT spot. 150: R5P12 RB BENNY SNELL JR., KENTUCKY Bryce Love was gone but I am happy to have this kid. 161: R5P23 WR HUNTER RENFROW, CLEMSON Right about where I usually take him. 167: R5P29 OT ISAIAH PRINCE, OHIO STATE Adding more o-line depth. You figure if he's a Buckeye he's got some cred. 195: R6P22 LB JOE GILES-HARRIS, DUKE Inside LB who often goes higher in mocks. 220: R7P6 S EVAN WORTHINGTON, COLORADO Late riser who fills safety hole.
