Whatever is happening with Clowney, there has to be more than what's on the surface (i.e. from local reports). Regardless, Clowney is expected to play on Sunday, and that is a good thing. The Giants are a terrible team.

This is a good test for Watson since this is not a game where he needs to find that gamebreaker on every snap to win. Understandable he might feel that way on the road in the opener against the Pats. But he and the Texans ought to know that they just need to give the Giants enough time and space in this one to bury themselves, because they will. The Texans lose this one if Watson turns the ball over too often.

I'm expecting the front 7 to get more pressure this week, too. They have not been bad so far in spite of what others may think, but they are also capable of more than they've shown. Clowney is a difference-maker, so having him play will obviously help.

Interior OL play hasn't been too bad. Hopefully the OTs show improvement in Week 3. The run game overall has been decent, probably a reaction by opposing DC's to contain Watson's willingness to extend plays and throw deep.

Watson's play this year reminds me a little of what Case Keenum tried while he was here. Keenum matured in the time since, and I have to believe Watson will too, and very soon. Still have 14 games left, and 8 of them at home. Aside from road games at Jacksonville, Denver, and Philadelphia, the Texans are lucky to have what seems to be a relatively easy schedule this season.
