I'm with you here, I am thinking it's 75/25 that Kubiak is back/gone after the season.

Trade our 1st for Buffalo's 33rd & 65th pick.

33. Marcus Cannon OG 6-6 345 TCU
52. Sam Acho DE 6-3 260 Texas
65. Kenrick Ellis DT 6-5 340 Hampton
84. Titus Young WR 5-11 180 Boise St
116. Johnny Patrick CB 6-0 190 Louisville
148. Damien Berry RB 6-0 210 Miami
180. Pierre Allen DE 6-5 265 Nebraska
211. Da'Norris Searcy S 6-0 210 UNC

This draft addresses our defensive woes by giving our secondary more quality depth and our D line some much needed youth, athleticism and size. It also gives us a quality OG with more size than we're accustom to and provides depth at WR (incase JJ leaves) and RB (insurance for Ben Tate).

Thumbs up Trade up

If we end up in the playoffs (not likely now with the worst D in the league, and so many injuries to key players), then for the first time in this franchises history, I would be for trading up to get either 1) that dominant DT we have been looking for forever, or 2) another game changer on offense like AJ or similar.

Hmm, does seem it is defense that needs the help right now anyways.

I hope they can find the dominant DT somehow who can push middle of O-line back so opposing QB can't step up in pocket, then QB has to go out where our DE's will get him.

It does seem that a dominant DT would upset the pocket and force the QB to flee or get sacked. Oh boy how good that would be!

I'm hoping for another defensive end or the dramatic recovery of Barwin. Ugh! Mario can swing to the strong side if need be so the Texans can bring in a speed rusher.

DT Rick Fairly of Auburn looked pretty good in their game against LSU.

As for going to a 3-4, I echo that we don't have a verifiable NT, and besides they just cut DT Frank Okam, the only NT type we had on the roster.

All the talk about moving LBs around has also been answered by moving Cushing to Mike, leaving Diles at Will, and making Bentley the Sam. Not bad moves I guess.

HELL YES!! Nick Fairley is a beast. I would use my 1st rounder on him and hope S. Acho is there for our 2nd rounder, or take a true NT in Kendrick Ellis, 6-5 340.

24 Jerrell Powe Mississippi DT34 6'2" 328
56 Jarvis Jenkins Clemson DE34 6'4" 310

They only had 2 rounds done.

Using their Big Board

The Texans will do this right after they take your suggestion and overhaul the OL.

Funny thing is, I just watched Green Bay's 3-4 completely bitch slap the Jets, shutting them out at home. How the hell were the Jets 5-1?

SEATTLE – Andrew Luck's numbers were far from overwhelming, but that's not what stood out to Jim Harbaugh.
**
"To be mentally understanding the game the way he does is just remarkable," Harbaugh said.

Apparently Andrew Luck had another impressive performance over the weekend as he outplayed Wasington QB Jake Locker and Luck has no bigger fan than his coach at Stanford, which leads me to think that Harbaugh has a plan: get Luck to declare for the NFL Draft and come out early next year and then use the #1 pick on his Stanford QB he's going to have as the new HC of the Buffalo Bills. Stranger things have happened ?

Default Draftsite.com 11.3.10

19 Drake Nevis DT LSU 6' 1" 300
51 Jeron Johnson S Boise State 5' 11" 194
83 Austin Pettis WR Boise State 6' 3" 200
115 Ricky Henry OG Nebraska 6' 4" 305
147 Johnny Patrick CB Louisville 5' 11" 190
179 Brian Rolle ILB Ohio State 5' 11" 220
209 Matt Bosher K Miami 6' 0" 205

what I would do

19 Anthony Castonzo OT Boston College 6' 7" 295
51 Deunta Williams S UNC 6' 2" 205
83 Eric Hagg S Nebraska 6' 2" 205
115 Chykie Brown CB Texas 6' 0" 190
147 Pernell McPhee DE Mississippi State 6' 4" 275
179 Phil Taylor DT Baylor 6' 4" 355
209 Kai Forbath, K UCLA 6' 0" 200

Castonzo becomes one of our top 3 OTs and one of those guys will need to move to OG. Who to be determined by play.
Williams and Hagg both have size can be backups while they learn.
Brown is a decent pickup in the 4th. Forbath is one of the top kicking prospects.

Currently based on the current standings, I have the Texans picking #14, and judging from the play I have been seeing that is close to where I think they pick. I am thinking 12th, but could be between 10th and 20th.

So based on the 14th pick, I see a coaching change and a move back to the 3-4. Say goodbye to Okoye, Daniel, Jones, and Turk.

I want us to sign two of the following FA NTs: Paul Soliai, Dolphins, Shaun Rogers, Browns, Alan Branch, Cards, Chris Hoke, Steelers.

The draft is as follows:

12 Brandon Harris CB Miami 5'11 195
44 Sione Fua NT Stanford 6'2" 307
76 Jeron Johnson S Boise State 5' 11" 194
108 Steven Friday OLB Virginia Tech 6'4" 254 .
140 Wayne Daniels OLB TCU 6' 2" 250
172 Kai Forbath K UCLA 6'0" 192
204 Derek Epperson P Baylor 6'3" 235

My 3-4 looks like this;
LDE - Williams,
NT - Soliai,Hoke,Fua
RDE - Smith, Mitchell
LOLB- Cushing, Friday
LILB - Diles
RILB - Ryans, Sharpton
ROLB - Barwin, Daniels
CB - Harris, Jackson, McManis
S - Quinn, Nolan, Pollard, Johnson

Fill the holes with vets that fit the new coaches schemes.

Default draftsite.com 11.16.10

14 Rahim Moore* S UCLA 6' 1" 195
46 Christian Ballard DT Iowa 6' 5" 297
78 Joe Lefeged CB Rutgers 6' 1" 205
110 Colin McCarthy OLB Miami 6' 3" 240
142 Shaky Smithson WR Utah 5' 11" 202
174 Byron Isom OG Auburn 6' 3" 302
206 Dan Bailey K Oklahoma State 6' 0" 197

Not a bad start.

What do I see if Kubiak-Smith are in charge of the draft?

14 Akeem Ayers* OLB UCLA 6' 4" 254
46 Sam Acho DE Texas 6' 3" 258
78 Roy Helu Jr. RB Nebraska 6' 0" 215
110 Chykie Brown CB Texas 6' 0" 190
142 Ollie Ogbu DT Penn State 6' 1" 285
174 Tejay Johnson S TCU 6' 1" 210
206 Virgil Greene TE Nevada 6' 4" 242

They ignore the areas of need to go with guys to strengthen the pass rush early, then they draft guys who do not have ball skills (Brown ) or do not have a chance of getting on the field (Helu)(I like Helu but we do not appear to need a RB), and of course a great TE to not be activated is a need for 5 years from now.

What I hope a new coaching staff would do
14 Brandon Harris*, CB, Miami 5-11 195
46 Jerrell Powe DT Mississippi 6' 2" 330
78 Jaiquawn Jarrett S Temple 6' 2" 195
110 Sione Fua DT Stanford 6' 2" 307
142 Stefen Wisniewski OG Penn State 6' 3" 297
174 Kai Forbath, K, UCLA 6-0 182
206 Ryan Donahue PT Iowa 6' 3" 180

Texans keep dropping lower in the draft, they are currently picking #12. Not a bad effort DT, CB,OG and a PT.

12 Drake Nevis DT LSU 6' 1" 300
44 Shareece Wright CB USC 6' 0" 185
76 Orlando Franklin OG Miami 6' 7" 318
108 Mason Foster ILB Washington 6' 2" 244
140 Jeff Maehl WR Oregon 6' 1" 175
172 DeQuin Evans DE Kentucky 6' 2" 250
203 Chas Henry PT Florida 6' 3" 215

My cherry pick for a 4-3 and a 3-4

12 Brandon Harris*, CB, Miami 5-11 195. / Robert Quinn* OLB UNC 6' 5" 260
44 Deunta Williams S UNC 6' 2" 205 / Von Miller OLB Texas A&M 6' 3" 240
76 Ras-I Dowling CB Virginia 6' 2" 200/ Jerrell Powe DT Mississippi 6' 2" 330
108 Mason Foster ILB Washington 6' 2" 244 / Shiloh Keo S Idaho 5' 11" 210
140 Benjamin Ijalana OT Villanova 6' 4" 320 / Jaiquawn Jarrett S Temple 6' 2" 195
172 Zach Roth OT TCU 6' 6" 316 / Phil Taylor DT Baylor 6' 4" 355
203 Derek Epperson P Baylor 6-3 235. / Derrick Locke RB Kentucky 5' 9" 190

The first player is for a 4-3 pick and the 2nd player is the 3-4 pick.
