Default Official Texans @ Colts Game Thread, 12/20/2020

The 4-9 Houston Texans head off to Indianapolis this Sunday to play the 9-4 Colts in an early game. The Texans are coming off a 36-7 road loss to the Chicago Bears while the Colts went to Las Vegas and beat the Raiders 44-27. These two met 2 weekends ago with the Colts prevailing 26-20 in a game the Texans should have won. I think we all know most of the players, here so I will get right to the pick:

Colts 38, Texans 24

---------------------------------------------------------

TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon CST, Sunday Dec 20, 2020

Announcers = Greg Gumbel, Rich Gannon

The line = Colts by 7 to 7½

-----------------------------------------------------------

Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area:

CBS (late) = Kansas City @ New Orleans, Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

FOX = TBD

------------------------------------------------------------

Prime time:

TNF = LA Chargers @ Las Vegas (FOX/NFLN)

Saturday (late) = Buffalo @ Denver (NFLN) (Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth), 3:30 pm CST

Saturday (night) = Carolina @ Green Bay (NFLN) (Mike Tirico, Kurt Warner), 7:15 pm CST

SNF = Cleveland @ NY Giants (NBC)

MNF = Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati (ESPN)

Looks like Houston gets Philadelphia @ Arizona for the late game on FOX today.

For some of us, it will be going up against Chiefs vs. Saints on crappy CBS/Locast at the same time....

It's like the Texans have to start every game down two scores before they decide to play the game.

So it was the old fumble near the goal line that did the Texans in.

Final score:

Colts 27, Texans 20

I need to find me a team to root for in the playoffs....

They play from behind more often than the old Washington Generals.

Texans next opponent, the Bengals will play on MNF in about 20 hours.

Early line has the Texans as a whopping 8½ to 9 pt favorite over the Bengals next Sunday.

--------------------------------------------------

Texan's defense is the worst in the league at creating turnovers. Just 8 all year long. Next in line is 3 teams with 12.
