Default Season Predictions - How many Wins

Last year I had the tea, injected it and needed some more. This year I am not getting the same vibe.

I am not saying the Texans haven't improved, I think they have. But I also have seen some cracks.

I predict 7-9. The schedule is just to much and they have a few more holes to plug.

I hope I am wrong on this one and we are in the playoffs, but we did not play like a playoff team IMO.

Im gonna call 10-6.

I am letting go of preseason ball and going off of what we saw at the end of the year coupled with going into the season with no starters on IR.

I believe in Kubiak, this is going to be his hardest year yet.

I agree its a tough schedule, still got some holes for opposing teams to attack, still a young team making changes, but I think we are better than last year, perhaps faster and bigger, and seem to be playing fairly smart with few penalties, low turnovers, and good special teams, so, with some coolaid, in the playoffs at 11-5. And I wouldn't bet on it, just for fun.

I think we're likely to have a similar season to the Browns this year; we will become a significantly better football team but it probably won't show in our record. The most likely range for us is 7-9 to 9-7.

As others have noted, our schedule starts off insane and at a time when we can't really afford it. With Dunta out until at least week 6 (and probably not full Dunta til near the end of the year, if not next year), our biggest hole is magnified by our toughest stretch of schedule.

Next year, I think we have the potential to be 10-12 win beasts, but this year I'm just looking for player progress. Playoffs (or a winning record) would be great, but I'm mainly looking for progress of our many talented youngsters. I do think we finish at least third in the division, though. Tennessee's going to plummet (weren't nearly as good as their record and their D was too reliant on what looks like a flukishly phenomenal year by Haynesworth) and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jags backslide either.

I'm going with 9-7.

Every year a few teams underperform and there are always a few surprises. I expect the Texans to be one of those surprises. I also expect a few teams on our schedule, Tenn. and GB especially to not do as well as last year. Those 3 games could swing us into the playoffs.
