I was in favor of the E Reed signing in the beginning - thought he still had something in the tank. And then the hip condition thing came out.... And then his dodgy work ethic came out (never heard about the Ed-being-Ed thing)..... Doubt it was his comments that got him released - more like an accumulation of everything plus the latest demotion....
Glover Quin? I was glad to see him go, too. But I've had a bias ever since that Jax game when he served the Hail Mary pass to the Jax receiver for the winning score. *Not* heads-up. *Not* a player I want to keep.... Keo just might be getting it. It is not uncommon for new-to-the-NFL DB's to stink it up for a few years before they find their niche (See KJ). Swearinger looks mighty impressive so far but I won't be shocked if he makes a few mistakes along the way..... |

Things didn't work out for Ed Reed and the Houston Texans, so the ballhawking free safety opted for more familiarity Thursday when he joined his third team in less than a year.
The New York Jets announced a contract agreement with Reed and expected to have the five-time all-pro and former defensive player of the year on the practice field today. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...-ryan/3527661/ **** Looks like Coach Reed is headed to the Big Apple. |

One benefit to the lost season is that Swearinger will get to make his mistakes this year when it doesn't matter and he'll be more experienced next year.
I'm still not a Keo fan but I am willing to be impressed. There are bigger needs to address than the secondary. Their play improves if we can rediscover a pass rush. |

Texans just claimed OLB Ricky Sapp, 6'4", 252 lb off waivers from Jets, drafted 5th round in 2010 by Eagles. Jets waived Sapp to make room for Ed Reed. Texans waived. RB Graham to make room for Sapp.

**** Coach Reed was the big winner this year in the "Ed Reed Sweepstakes", the Texans the big losers and the Jets a much lesser loser. But check out the link here as Eds got another photo shoot shaking hands with his x-Ravens teammates in another losing effort. Gotta love Ed though, he's got a hustle that's tough to deny, just ask Bob Mcnair if you don't believe me. |
