I'm not a doctor and am generally loathe to play one even as a fan, but I think I am less concerned about Dunta's ACL than his torn hamstring. Well, damn, I'm worried about both since quickness and change of direction are essential to his game, but something about the hamstring recovery makes me nervous.

I'm still wearing my optimism here proudly though.

I hope Dunta takes his time and doesn't re injure ACL or hammy, maybe be close to 100% Dunta by 2009. come by too quick and risk never returning completely.

IMO, whatever he gives us in 2008 is gravy. We shouldn't expect anything special from him this year. I know he is one brave, tough little dude but he may never get back the quick-twitch stuff that made him a shutdown corner. PUPing him was the right thing to do and if they IR him it may be in his best long-term interests. Yet, I know he's going to want to play. Let's wait til his doctors agree with him. I'd rather he not play at all this year than reinjure himself trying to come back too quickly.
