Demps brings the kickoff back to the Texan 25. Texans ball.
Dump off to Foster goes for 17, 1st down. Oy, pass to OD over the middle a tad too long, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up. Tate runs for 9 but it comes back because of holding on Winston. 10 yard penalty makes it 2nd and 20 coming up. Pass to JJ gets 16. 3rd and 4 coming up. Yates scrambles for about 8 and the 1st down. Ball at the Bengal 40. End of the 3rd quarter. |

Deep pass to JJ down the sideline goes inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.
Foster for 9. 3rd and 1 coming up. Foster slips short of the 1st down, -2 yards. 4th and 3 coming up. Texans to go for it. Yates sacked/fumbles. Big loss. Bengals ball at the Texan 48. |

How the hell the refs didn't give Foster a first down on that 9yd+ run is beyond me. Crap. Not looking good here...

What the hell was that...the kid has been ok as a starter but he was clearly not ready for that situation...bad call Kubiak...no playaction...no rollout...just 3 or 5 step drop...BAD CALL

The play calling has been pretty unassailable this game with the exception of those last two plays. I question Arian rather than Tate and as you say a five step drop on fourth and two is a real puzzler.

Benson TFL -3. Makes it 2nd and 13 coming up.
Dump off to Green gets 2. 3rd and 11 coming up. Deep pass to Green is broken up by JJo. Bengals have to punt. JJ brings the punt back to the Texan 25. 12:01 left in the game. |

Oh man, they call a catch on the dump off to Foster. Foster fumbles, Bengals pick it up then fumble, ball gets kicked around and Winston eventually falls on it at the Texan 2 yard line. 1st and 10 Texans at the 2. Kubiak to challenge that Foster never had possession of the ball....

I think they're going to say that was a reception and a fumble.

That play didn't even look like a catch.

The ruling on the field stands as called. Texans ball at their 2, 1st down.
Pass to KW good for nice gainer, 19 yards and a 1st down. Tate for 2 or 3. Makes it 2nd and 8 coming up. Flags presnap. Brisiel false start, -5. Makes it 2nd and 13 coming up. Dump to Tate goes for about 14 and a 1st down. Yates is sacked. Makes it 2nd and 13. Pass to Dreessen goes for 10. 3rd and 3 coming up. Pass to JJ good for 18. Ball at the Bengal 43. Dump to Tate gets 8. 2nd and 2 coming up. Dump to Tate gets 8 and a 1st down. Ball at the Bengal 27. Under 7 minutes left. Tate goes for about 11. Yates rolls out and is pressured and throws it inc. 2nd and 10 coming up. Foster for 1. 3rd and 9 coming up. Pass to Mason is low and dropped. Makes it 4th and 9. Rackers on for the 33-yard FG. FG is good. Bengals 19, Texans 13 5:31 left in the game. Last edited by Arky; 12-11-2011 at 02:41 PM. |

Apparently we have to overcome the Bengals, our mistakes, and yes, now the refs. They'll call that a catch, but no way in hell was it a catch.

Yates is definitely playing like a rookie with limited action today.
Former Texan/Colorado State WR just caught a TD pass for the Redskins. |
