This must be the free safety pick, and it sounds like he has some ball skills. I think timing and instincts trump height when playing the FS position.

Don't forget our new "aggressive D" will need an aggressive safety.

Okay, another lesser learned. I need to watch more West Coast football. This guy is pretty freakin talented in all phases of the game. He's got good man skills, keeps his eye on the ball when it's in the air, makes plays on the ball, and he tackles. I'm pretty excited to see what Bush can do with the talent we got in this draft. Quin should be able to play nickleback very early on and knock the snot out of slot guys.

I was watching this video again and noticed around 6:25 into it, he's making some pretty impressive tackles against Gartrell Jackson or is it Johnson? Anyway, the big RB who looks like Steve Jackson from Colorado St. I like what he brings to the defense along with Troy Nolan.

In the clip he looks to be playing alot of off man and seems to have good instincts and anticipation. I was listening to one of the pressers and Kubiak and Smith were talking about him playing nickle corner... but I think due to his physical style of play he could make for a pretty good free safety. We'll see how it all plays out but the transition could be a natural fit.

I think they are going to give him his shot at CB. However, once it becomes clear that he can't play there, they will move him to FS. If he can play CB, great, but a fall back to FS isn't all bad.

They are going to play him as the nickle. If it becomes clear that he can't play there, they may try him at FS. However, I'm a believer that he'll be a perfect fit right where they are going to put him (over the slot).

What does that mean for Bennett and Molden? Does that mean they're our fourth and fifth corners? Are they really giving a rookie the third spot right out of the draft? Or by "nickel corner" do they simply mean "not a starter."

Yeah, your right, IF would have been a better choice of word(s). I do expect him to play well as the nickel, certainly as well/better than Peety. However, I suspect he will wind up at FS as he likely will be better there and a starter at FS is more valuable than a nickel corner. Just my hunch.
