I thought it was bad when the QB starved Texans passed on Derek Carr. That pales in comparison to the QB starved Browns actually trading away the pick that drafted Deshaun Watson. It's amazing that some of these guys have personnel jobs.

The intentional grounding play in the end zone was embarrassing. He just panicked and spiked it. How bad is Brock Osweiller that he couldn't even get a backup job on this team?

Won a game they were supposed to win, and did so convincingly. Thought the Texans should have given stronger consideration to letting Savage play out the fourth quarter to keep Watson from taking a cheap hit. Team seems a bit snakebit on injuries lately.

Sloppy game by Watson and that was before the pic 6, so I'm sure glad this game was played here and not in Cleveland else it might not have been as comfortable a game for us.
More injuries: the outstanding undrafted rookie LB Dylan Cole is out for awhile, maybe season-ending but I sure hope not; LT Chris Clark reportedly suffered an injury to one of his calfs.
With all the injuries, & breaking in of the rookie QB to include lots of issues with the OLine led by the unexpected holdout of Duane Brown maybe 3-3 at the bye is not too bad.
Now we got a couple weeks to lick our wounds and then tee it up again for the long road trip up to Seattle.

That game is a blowout wherever it is played. That Browns team isn't trying to win games. I am guessing their coach was given a mandate to lose this year and a promise he wouldn't be held accountable.

I agree Watson was sloppy. Hopkins made a better defensive play than any Texans DB has made in 5 years to save him from another terrible INT.

But the TD to Fuller was awesome with him looking off the safety, and the one he dropped on Fuller's head only to have it dropped was even better. I have no problem with the rookie mistakes from a rookie who is throwing 3+ TDs every week.

And I love that we can all of a sudden run a screen play. We had a couple of really well done screens, including one to a WR. Between the QB run keeping pass rushers in their lanes and a new found screen game, we are really helping out the OL.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy, actually very delighted that we drafted Watson as he 's turned out to be a genuine pleasure to watch every Sunday and easily the best QB prospect this franchise has ever had, so much so that I'm hopeful that the ownership keeps the current coaching regime on the job for awhile longer to see what they can do with DW.
Why just imagine what Watson could do if he had a couple of real NFL tackles and a talented TE in his offense with him ?

Speaking of TEs what's the story on Fido ? I know he went IR for '17 after his third concussion this year but is it potentially bigger than that, is there a serious consideration that he might retire from football ?
JJoe had a good game, wonder can we squeeze another year after this one out of our aging CB ? I would say clearly he and Arron Glenn are the best corners the Texans have ever had ?

I always thought Fido was on the IR Eligible-to-return list. Not sure exactly when the deadline to return is....8th week, 10th week, something like that?

After all the drama and injuries, the Texans are 3-3 and tied for first place in the division, sorta where you'd expect. One win we didn't expect (@Cincy) and one loss we didn't expect (to Jax) so we're headed into the bye exactly where we expected.

Suddenly, the offense is saving our skin and the defense is vulnerable due to the wave of injuries.
