I heard this on ESPN this morning, as well. I guess that means there are 3 rb's that we have to choose one of tonight. Would any of the 3 last until our pick in the 3rd? Would Joe McKnight be acceptable?

OK, I knew there was some 'stuff' on Hardesty, but figured he would clear medical.....Maybe I'll just be happy with Gerhart or Tate. I don't know if/how far Dwyer will fall.

I just hate the idea of giving up draft picks to move up. The rumors are out there that Denver and New England and San Francisco all want Gerhart. I would say, 'trust' your draft board. My problem is Gerhart is at the top of my board right now....

1 RB Toby Gerhart 6'1" 235 4.53 Stanford
2 OG John Jerry 6'6" 332 5.15 Mississippi
3 DT Lamarr Houston 6'3" 305 4.88 Texas
4 RB Ben Tate 5'11" 218 4.43 Auburn
5 FS Brandon Ghee 6'0" 191 4.45 Wake Forest
6 OG Rodger Saffold 6'5" 306 5.23 Indiana
7 OG Jon Asamoah 6'4" 308 5.08 Illinois
8 RB Jonathan Dwyer 5'11" 229 4.64 Georgia Tech

Roy, assume Gerhart is gone. Assuming your next 3 guys are there, do you take Tate or Jerry/Houston?

Tougher decision, yet, assume Gerhart and Tate are gone, do you take Dwyer or one of your higher ranked guys, assuming they are there?

If you don't get a running back in the 2nd round, how much would you reach in the 3rd?

I'm taking Jerry before Tate and trusting my board. I may 'reach' for Dwyer or Dixon later on and hope that getting a run-blocking OG helps the running game more than the RB. Also, OGs tend to produce longer careers than RBs. Yeah, it's a big Want and I'd considered taking Tate at #51 regardless of who was on the board to 'make sure' I get a RB that I want. I could possibly 'move up' after drafting Jerry to take Tate before #81.

If Tate and Gerhart are gone by 51, I would like to not take a back in the second. If you don't get a back in the second, I think there is a big risk on not taking one until 6 or 7. How big of a howl would there be, if that happened? It wouldn't bother me. If the O-line were upgraded some, our current backs would look a lot better.

If Tate AND Gerhart are both gone at #51, I trust my draft board and just take the BPA.
