Ohoh, Foster already out with Hammy. Now Tate hurt. Wood inactive.

So FB Ben Jones now our RB? Who else? Four wide.

Still no PI.

On 2nd and 11, pass to AJ goes inc. 3rd and 11 coming up.

Pass goes inc but flags on Chiefs for offsides makes it 3rd and 6 coming up.

Keenum gets sacked. Texans to punt on 4th and 11.

McCluster brings the punt back to the Chiefs 18. Chiefs ball.

Unbelievable!! We get a penalty for going below the knees at Alex Smith and they just did it to Keenum and we get no call.

Is that the first off schedule play we've seen a QB make in two years since Yates scrambled as a rookie?

The more I see of Keenum the more irresponsible Kubiak and Smith become.

Pass to Graham goes all the way to the 1! 1st and goal at the 1. Timeout Texans.

Keenum keeps for 1/2 yard. 2nd and goal from the 1.

Jones tackled for loss of 2. 3rd and goal from the 3.

Pass to Hopkins gets broken up, inc. Texans to go for the FG.

Bullock's 21-yarder is good.

Chiefs 14, Texans 13

9:24 left in the 3rd quarter.

Wow, another good throw by Keenum, thought for sure Hopkins could come down with that for 6.

I guess pass interference just doesn't get called anymore unless you are Kareem jackson

There is not a team in the NFL that would have gone to the UDFA coming off a playoff season. Maybe a few teams pull the plug a week or two earlier and that's on Kubs, but Smith gets no blame for that (and plenty of credit for signing him).

That throw was way inside when it should have been outside. Only Hopkins effort gave him a chance.

I'm thinking more of Schaub's contract than the timing of going with Keenum.

And there's another former Texan to embarrass the Texans' special teams.

Can these refs kill us any worse? The guy is running full speed down the middle of the field and enters his slide in the middle of the tackle and its a penalty?

That call on Swearinger is highly debateable too.

Now Cushing might be hurt.

I'm all in with you then. That was a terrible move (and clearly about panic on the eve of the season).

Chiefs bring the kickoff all the way back to the Texan 46.

---------------------

Smith scrambles for big gain and roughness on Swearinger places the ball at the Texan 10.

Sherman for 4.

Short pass to Sherman gets 1. Cushing injured. Injury timeout. 3rd and goal at the Texan 6.

Charles stopped at the 4. Chiefs to go for the FG.

Succop's 22-yarder is good.

Chiefs 17, Texans 13

6:07 left in the 3rd quarter.

In fact, I'll credit Kubiak for going with Keenum today when Yates was the more cautious, Texan, Kubiakian option.
