Default TE Garrett Graham, Round 4, #118 Overall

Owen Daniels now on borrowed time as a Texan? Graham, like Daniels, is from Wisconsin.

The Texans also signed journeyman TE Michael Gaines. I am somewhat baffled by these moves

Maybe they are not hearing good news on Daniels' knee recovery or maybe they just feel he's not worth the money they are asking. Taking a Wisconsin alum only rubs salt in the wound.

Kubiak is becoming the John Gruden for tight ends.

I think this speaks to some disapointment in Hill and Casey, as well as some possible friction with OD and his contract.

How many TE's do we think we need? This is getting ridiculous. We've got a pro bowler already on the roster and we've now brought in 4 new ones in the past 2 seasons?!? Kubiak IS the John gruden for TE's

I am wondering if we can see some 3 TE sets on offense this season? I'm all for that, but we are going to have to make 4 TEs active on Sundays, just in case of injury. Otherwise, we are going to have a lot of Texans in street clothes during game day.

My thoughts exactly. Waste of a pick, unless Dressen, Gaines, and/or Casey aren't coming back.

Owen Daniel is not cleared to practice, Dreessen is coming off surgery, Hill had a surgery IIRC, so they have only one healthy TE coming into minicamp next week. Can't practice without healthy bodies.

The pick of Graham tells me that Dreessen and or Hill will not make the team.
