I'm seeing one of following for us in the 2nd:
Sanu - WR - Rutgers
Quick - WR - App St.
Massie - OT - Ole Piss
Adams - OT - OH St.

Hill has the measureables but my gut tells me Randle is going to be a better all-around WR and is a better fit for this team. I'm hoping they can somehow snag him, but they'll have to move up to get him. No way I wanted Fleener at #26, but he'd be intriguing in this offense and I might move up a few picks to get him if he starts to drop. I have a feeling he'll go to the Colts, though, since he's Luck's buddy and they have zero legit TE's on roster. If it's WR, I assume Jeffery, Sanu and Quick will all be there. Massie is intriguing. I don't think they touch Adams.

You could be entirely wrong about Hill. I think he will be a monster in a year or so. Randle may do well also.

Never said Hill will be a bust. I like him and he may very well have a nice career. I just think that Hill will be a straight-line speed threat, whereas, Randle will be a better all-around (blocking, slot, middle and deep) threat and fits better with what this team needs from a #2. JMHO. It's sort of the Mike Wallace vs. Antonio Brown syndrome. They're both great players, and one team might prefer Wallace's straight-line speed and another team might prefer Brown's all-around style. I think the Texans need a Brown-type WR as opposed to a Wallace-type WR (atlthough, I'll take anything to upgrade what we have now).

I'm listening to 610 AM radio right now and FWIW John McClain, a guest on the show, just said very confidantly that the Texans WOULD NOT take a WR UNTIL the 3rd round. I for one will be surprised if that scenario plays out, but we'll see?

I think I'd go CB or OL if Round 2 went this way:

I'd probably take Trumaine Johnson or Josh Robinson over Sanu.

Jeff Fisher slammed his glasses and "uttered a one-syllable expletive" when the Jags jumped up to take Blackmon in front of them, so it looks highly likely that one of those receivers comes off the board at #33.

Well, Quick was kind of unexpected so that drops down a couple of our guys.

Upshaw looks more like a 3-4 DE than a LB.

Attn: Texans secondary. Your division now includes Justin Blackmon, Kendall Wright and Coby Fleener. Prepare accordingly.

Let's jump into that STL or PHI slot and take Randle.

There went Glenn and Martin, the two I hoped would fall to us. Schwartz was already taken. Will it be Massie? Sanders? Potter?

There goes Hill to the Jets. Randle is still on the board.

So, who's going to be the retired Texan when it's our turn? Domanick Davis? Aaron Glenn? Most of the guys they bring up are short so the Commish doesn't look like a dwarf.

I'm thinking Davis, or whatever he goes by now. They've all been good (or better) retired players who were drafted by the team whose pick they're announcing. For the Texans that's a very short list to choose from. Chester Pitts is still active, isn't he? I doubt they'd pick him anyway since he was very outspoken about Goodell during the lockout.
