Default Official 2018 NFL Draft - Round 1 Thread

Well, it's here. Should be a quiet night for the Texans.

Titans take LB Rashaan Evans at 22, moving up three spots and giving up a 4th for a 6th in return.

Colts take G Quenton Nelson, big need to shore up their OL.

Can't say as though I find any of these moves really threatening to the Texans.

Wish i was a gambler, I heard the over under on QBs was 4.5 and I wanted the over, well the Ravens would have given me the money.

I do hate to say that I am seeing bust on more than a few of the 1st round QBs. Time will tell.

Kinda hard to get worked up when the Texans aren't picking. I expect Day 2 to have a better interest level for most of us...

Just for grins, let's just pretend the Texans were able to make the Watson deal last year without giving up this year's #1 pick...

What would you have liked to have seen them do last night?

I would have been OK with them making the same deal that TB did with BUF in order to get a couple of 2nd rounders...and at 12 I would have stopped the Derwin James slide since there wasn't an OT worth the #12 pick.

Staying at 4 for Q. Nelson or "reaching" for McGlinchey would have been OK, I guess...but not the best value...

Oh well....bring on the 3rd!

Too bad teams don't put protections on 1st round picks like in the NBA. We could have put a top 5 protection on our pick and been drafting high.
