That's 55 players but that's everyone who doesn't look like training camp fodder. Looks like we will be trimming a TE and an OL but there are also areas I could see a UDFA or street FA finding a job, particularly RB and S.

I like the wide receiver group. Not crazy about the running back group although Foreman returning to form would help.

Just scanning the list makes me think depth is an issue..... I see inexperience and C+ types all over the place - even among starters.....

I agree with Arky about the WR & RB groups.

But IMO this is the most complete depth the team has had in the last 15 years. it always looked like Rick Smith was happy to find starteres at each position. and then stop gathering talent.

As for the team being made up of C+ players I think this can be said about most NFL rosters. remember half this roster will not be in the NFL come the middle of September.

The salary cap and roster limits mean every team chooses where they will sacrifice. Nobody has zero holes.

Maybe this was a good year to have the AAF. Watching the San Antonio team, they had some decent RBs and a decent secondary. Of course, looks can deceive when you aren't playing NFL-level competition.
