Default Ted Thompson and the Packers

Scratching my head over this Morrison pick for the Colts and how in the hell Kenneth Dixon is still available. He is going to be a steal in this draft. Then Ted Thompson takes another one of MY GUYS for the Packers. I would rather have Blake Martinez over Antonio Morrison 7 days a week. Just noticed that Thompson took Kyler Fackrell too in the 3rd round when Shilique Calhoun was off the board for the Colts, Fackrell would have been nice to have instead of La'Raven Clark.

My other nemesis, Ozzie Newsome takes my running back Kenneth Dixon.

And the Cowboys steal my QB Dak Prescott @ #135.

I don't like Cowboys, but I like that QB pick.

The Broncos take one of my favorite Guards. Connor McGovern who I would have selected @#125 for the Colts. The Broncos get him @ #144.

If I had these guys already in the bag:
21 22 WR Josh Doctson TCU
50 70 DE Bronson Kaufusi BYU
85 94 TE Nick Vannett Ohio St
119 134 RB Kenneth Dixon La Tech

I would be looking to get Christian Westerman here to play OC. Since we don't, Jerell Adams looks to be a good selection coming up.

Yes Akeem Hunt, RB, still on roster. He was drafted in fifth r ound last year.

So 6 RB on roster right now.

I was pissed we didn't draft Jeremy Cash in the 4th. He's still there for our 5th round selection. We haven't had a quality safety in a decade.

He was undrafted. If I recall correctly the Texans signed him off of someone's practice squad. That's why I have no idea what his contract status is.

Well, they got a safety. They wanted the other guy from WVU so I assume they scouted Dillon quite a bit.

I like the pick, at least we're addressing the position.

KJ Dillon is one of My Guys but I had Tyvis Powell rated higher. We still don't have a TE or DE, is that correct?
S Tyvis Powell 6' 2 3/4" 211 4.46 7.03 4.25 34.5" 10' 0" 15 9 1/2" 32 3/4"
S KJ Dillon 6'0" 210 4.53 7.27 4.43 28" 10' 1" 11 9 5/8" 31 5/8"

Powell has more speed/agility. Taller by almost 3" with a greater vertical 34.5" vs. 28" Stronger 15 Reps vs. 11.

Sportrac says Hunt was undrafted, signed a two year contract with Texans. Will be ERFA in 2017.

The Bengals don't have a lot of picks but they are killing the ones they have.

DJ Reader to play NT. I hope he stays motivated and isn't like Nix. Even if I had drafted Nick Vannett, I still would have drafted Jerell Adams as the BPA. It would be a water-downed version of Gronkowski and Hernandez. OB knows how to run a 2-TE Offense, right?

Well, boys, I can't help feeling like this whole thing was somehow anticlimactic. Of course I was underwhelmed when they picked Watt so who knows. Maybe this will be 2006 all over again. The team deserves to have a decent draft every decade I would say.

Texans finish drafting first, as in other teams still have picks to make.

Overall, picks are reasonable to me. Time will tell.

Maybe some interesting UDFA activity coming soon.
