Default Rockets changes upcoming

I hope all the maneuvering works out, and ok however it works out.

By workout I mean endup with a big three that play smart together.

Out of Big name Free agents Kevin Love, LeBron James, Carmello Anthony my preference would be Kevin Love from Minnesota.

Omar Askik gone, good backup but expensive cap hit this year.

And NBA draft tonight, see what happens there for moves, up, down and around.

The Rockets picked up three young basketball players in the draft, two from overseas.

The Rockets used the 25th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft to select Clint Capela, PF from Switzerland. 6'11", likely will stay overseas to develop one or two more years. Supposedly very athletic.

The 42nd pick to select Nick Johnson, SG from Arizona. 6'3", All Pac 10 and Consensus All American. Good defense and offense, Combo Guard.

The Rockets traded cash to Minnesota for the 53rd pick - Italian SG Alessandro Gentile, 6'7" . Team Captain .

The two SG will likely be here with Rockets this year.

Las Vegas Summer League starts July 12.

The Rockets will jettison as much bench payroll as possible to go after Lebron and/or Carmelo. They think adding one of them to Howard and Harden will turn them into champions again. But the three will tire up almost all the payroll so they will need guys they can pay minimum salary to in order to stay under the cap.

I'm not real sure how NBA salary cap works, but believe cap is 62 mil.

Howard at 21.5 and Harden at 14 mil ties up 35.5 mil.

So there are about 11 other guys on roster adding. Up to about 10 mil.

And that is if trade Jeremy Lin who has expiring contract at 14 mil.

So hopefully whatever 3rd star comes here for salary between Howard and Harden or perhaps Rockets pay luxury tax in pusuit of championship.

This is trouble Miami has And San Antonio avoids, ie stars that want to make more than 10 Mil per year so teams have trouble affording good role players and paying cap penalties.

LeBron just announced he is returning to Cleveland.

So, perhaps this means Bosch is coming to Houston?

Other activity with Asik, Lynn, and Parsons , perhaps others , coming up as well the next few days.
