There was Nick Martin, Joshua Garnett, Chris Jones, Austin Johnson and a couple others. I thought the odds favored at least one of them sneaking through and none did.

Getting Higgins at the end of the 4th is, admittedly, a calculated gamble but I'm not wowed with most of the names i see after him on these lists.

Default 4/22 Composite Board

27: R1P27 C RYAN KELLY ALABAMA
62: R2P31 DE BRONSON KAUFUSI BRIGHAM YOUNG
85: R3P22 G JOSHUA GARNETT STANFORD
89: R3P26 TE NICK VANNETT OHIO STATE
94: R3P31 DT MALIEK COLLINS NEBRASKA
119: R4P21 RB C.J. PROSISE NOTRE DAME
125: R4P27 WR MALCOLM MITCHELL GEORGIA
150: R5P11 S MILES KILLEBREW SOUTHERN UTAH
156: R5P17 ILB BLAKE MARTINEZ STANFORD
195: R6P20 QB KEVIN HOGAN STANFORD
228: R7P7 CB BRANDON WILLIAMS TEXAS A&M

Picks #27-#94 is a sweet spot to have picks. I get so nervous that I am going to pick a guy early and another guy will not fall to my next pick. When I'm on the fence between two players I go with the Supply & Demand strategy. My first 5 picks I drafted because they offered something that nobody else was going to be able to provide at their position. I might have Kaufusi ranked too highly, but I do NOT want to miss out on him. Darron Lee went #13 to Miami, Conklin went #15 to Tennessee and Doctson went #21 to Washington. So I went down to #27 and still got Ryan Kelly.I have Kelly and Kaufusi ranked as 1st round talents. I feel like I really hit the trifecta getting Garnett, Vannett, and Collins right in a row, since I give them 2nd round grades.

I have Prosise, Killebrew, and Malcolm Mitchell graded as 3rd round talents.
I drafted my Safety Killebrew at #150 and tried to move up for either Nick Vigil or James Cowser. But they were selected #154/#155. I went ahead and took Blake Martinez since I had already had a team agree to the trade. After I grabbed Killebrew. So at #156, both of my 'targets' had been taken just prior to my choice.

I used the NFLDraft.com board and made a couple of short trade downs that netted one of the best drafts so far:

26: R1P26 OT JACK CONKLIN MICHIGAN ST
65: R3P2 C NICK MARTIN NOTRE DAME
85: R3P22 TE AUSTIN HOOPER STANFORD
90: R3P27 S SEAN DAVIS MARYLAND
100: R4P2 RB PAUL PERKINS UCLA
119: R4P21 CB CYRUS JONES ALABAMA
159: R5P20 DT MATT IOANNIDIS TEMPLE
166: R5P27 ILB BLAKE MARTINEZ STANFORD
195: R6P20 WR MORITZ BOEHRINGER GERMANY

TRADE PARTNER:
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
SENT:
ROUND: 1 PICK: 22
RECEIVED:
ROUND: 1 PICK: 26
ROUND: 3 PICK: 27

TRADE PARTNER:
CLEVELAND BROWNS
SENT:
ROUND: 2 PICK: 21
RECEIVED:
ROUND: 3 PICK: 2
ROUND: 4 PICK: 2

I noticed, too that Keenan Reynolds and Demarcus Ayers were available as UDFAs.

Boehringer may just be one of those training camp novelty acts but the Teutonic Plague is 6-4 with 4.4 speed and should be a nightmare to cover if his hands are good enough for the NFL. Plus, he won't know what sort of smack the DBs are dishing on him so he can't be taunted.
