Default Undrafted Free Agents

After the draft, I always like to list the UDFA's I'd like to read about the Texans signing. Rarely to they ever amount to anything, but I just like to see who get a shot at making the roster. Not to mention, I always draft guys that go undrafted....

DE Lindsey Witten
WR Scott Long
DT Jay Ross
WR Stephen Williams
P Mike Brandtner
S Nick Polk
LB Simoni Lawrence
CB Donovan Warren
CB AJ Jefferson
RB Andre Anderson
QB Jarrett Brown
C Jeff Byers
CB David Pender

"We only have six on our roster, and we usually go to camp with eight or nine of them so we had to find some somewhere." - Johnny Holland

So, I'm wondering if we are getting some more or just looking for guys who have been cut from other rosters....

I'm already looking for Simoni Lawrence and some others include...

Jacob Cutrera
Kyle Bosworth
Patrick Trahan
David McDowell

I wonder if C Kevin Matthews or S Klint Kubiak will be signing with their fathers' team.

Not to be outdone, the Colts signed Brandon James, KR(another speedster).

That means every team now has a speed threat.

Jags- MJD
Titans-CJ2K
Texans-TH
Colts-B. James

AFC South just got tougher.

Confirmation (with a link to an interview) and a scouting report on Tyler Sheehan. He looks like a poor man's Schaub -- decent size, smart and efficient, but doesn't have a big arm and isn't very mobile. He ran a spread offense at Bowling Green and it sounds like he worked a lot from the shotgun rather than under center.

We got Nick Polk! That's cool. He was one of My Guys early on, before I eliminated him from my board because I figured that we would have all of our draft picks by the time we got to him. Anyway, he's a bit slow and short, but if you throw out the measurables, he's a good player.

That's funny that Pemberton got brought in from Colorado State too. I saw him playing alongside Shelley Smith at the East/West Shrine game. I had to focus on number #74 because they had the same helmets.

I believe they also got:

Malcolm Sheppard, DT, Arkansas

And he's a good'un. All-SEC, smallish DT at 6'2", 285 but a disruptor/sack guy. He usually made a few plays whenever I watched....
