My nickname for him is "Fries". Davenport impressed at the combine and I know the Broncos spent a considerable amount of time with him. He was considered a draft sleeper. Obviously, the dude has size but playing for a small school means he is probably raw and will need time to develop.

Well, at least he's not Seth Wand.

Just before us, the Raiders took an OT out of Florida who is almost blind in one eye. Conveniently, the Raiders have plenty of eye patches...

Love this pic of Davenport but the bad news is he can't help us this year, as he's a real project but it's nice to see the Texans looking down the road for change when it comes developing their OT position.
Now matybe with their second 4th round pick the Texans can draft somebody like Ada Bisnowaty from Pitt or Will Holden from Vandy each of whom have serious experience and could play some RT for us in 2017.

Zach Banner is a huge human being. I am still shaking my head unable to understand how Bucky Hodges and Anthony Walker Jr are still available.

From what I read, Banner is a monster but a relatively immobile one. I predict back trouble in his future.

Fourth round picks, never know when will start, find out at camp.

Texans 142nd pick is , right after Zip recruiter Ad, and Outdoor world Ad,

DL, Carlos Watkins, Clemson. Seems pretty athletic.

I am okay with the Carlos Watkins pick. He can replace Wilfork at the NT. My Colts take Marlon Mack, consolation prize for not getting Perine. No idea who Grover Stewart is.

The Colts had a monkey make their picks. Maybe the Texans should try that.

CBS confirming Watkins. Hey, another really solid pick. You can see Smith quietly laying the groundwork to cut some big contracts so he can afford to pay Clowney and Hopkins. Not yet but eventually, they'll bid farewell to Duane Brown and Brian Cushing. Hopefully, Fig Newton and Kareem "Holding - Defense - Number 25" Jackson will be out the door soon as well.

Watkins reunited with Reader on the D-line, plus Davenport at OT, not bad at all.

Geez, Roy, - a 353 pounder and a 343 - pounder in the same round. The Polians will need their own cattle ranch to feed these guys.

Plus Watkins and Reader already know not to hit The Franchise during practice.

I sound like a broken record, but Bucky Hodges is a big pass-catching TE. Anthony Walker Jr is a perfectly made ILB who can play all 3 downs and cover. CBs Desmond King and Jalen Myrick are starters in a league starving for Defensive Backs. Jeremy McNichols is better in my opinion than the Mack kid my Colts just drafted. Nate Peterman is the most "Pro-Ready" QB in the draft coming from a pro-style Offense in Pittsburgh.

The Bronco board will be happy. They've been cracking Butt jokes for months.

Jordan Leggett, TE - Clemson, is still out there and it would be a bonus to bring in Watson's security blanket.

Gone to the Jets ...

The Chargers are having a great draft. Lamp and Feeney for the OL. Desmond King and Rayshawn Jenkins for the Secondary.
